It was a "hot" time at the Annual Fireman's Bash on Friday, July 16th.
Nineteen teams hit the course for a unique game of golf. Dean Thompson
and his crew set up some interesting obstacles and ideas to challenge even
the "good" golfers. A few golfers may start carrying a baseball bat in
their bag as they hit it farther than with their driver!! Nine holes of
golf and nine different challenges, it was a super family night with
golfers ranging from age 6 to 82. Fire 1, Dean & Jack Thompson, Todd
Hasbrook and Jay Ward took home the honors as the first place team,
scoring aa 32. Central Lumber was 2nd, EMS 1-3rd, Ray's Team-4th and the
Wind Farm/Fischer Red Angus was 5th. Coming in in nineteeth and signing
the traveling fire helmet (which actually stays at the firehall) was the
Knudson Family.
The course is gearing up for its 1st annual Red Ball tourney and it sounds
like the weather is going to be great for this one. Hope you have your
team put together and are ready for some serious golf!
Some new obstacles have been added to the number 9 fairway....rocks, BIG
rocks!! This should challenge the long hitters and add a little more
difficulty. Keep your eye opens as their is a rumor that a couple may
appear on #2.
As we approach mid-summer, I hope you have been up and enjoyed the course,
it is truly in fantastic shape.
See you at "THE BONE!"
