Feels like summer out, hope you are dusting off
the golf clubs and getting ready to hit the course.
Men's League will gear up this Thursday night, May 16th.
Gather up your team for the year and plan on playing a scramble
and organize the league for another season. Contact Rich Egebakken
for details, remember teams consist of 4 people.
A work day has been scheduled for this Saturday, May 18th,
starting at 8AM. A semi-load of sod has been purchased and we
need to get it laid down. The sand traps will be turned into
grass traps. The wonderful wind just won't let us keep sand
in the traps and they seem to turn into cement as the year
progresses, so perhaps the sod will be better. Another challenge
to all those that accidentally end up in the traps, you'll have
to figure out which club will work there.
The "Ladies of the Evening" will kick-off their season on
June 5th by re-organizing and playing a scramble. If you're
interested, please give Sandy Woldstad or Pat Langston call and
they can give you the details.
The Annual Fund Raiser was deemed a success! It was held
on May 11th at the Moose. A luscious prime rib dinner and all
the trimmings was served by the Moose crew. The 2nd Annual
Karaoke Challenge had some great singers and Tom Morrison retained
his crown for another year. Ted Blum created a special pendant and
earrings for the event. Tim Todd remembered Mother's Day in style and
Kris received a beautiful gift. Larry & Roxanne Berg will be traveling
around the state this summer enjoying their "Golf Mania" package. Five
different courses donated an eighteen hole round of golf for 2 with a
cart and the Berg's were the successful bidders. Of course the Main Event
is the drawing of the lucky numbered ball and Jess Langston must of
had a leprechaun on his shoulder, because he was definitely the BIG WINNER!!
It was a great evening and we certainly appreciate everyone coming out and
supporting the golf course.
New this year will be a "Mixed League" and it will start on Monday,
June 10th. Further information can be obtained by calling Jeff Sell for the
details.
The Bud Lite Tournament will have a new date this year--June 22nd. What
a great way to kick start summer. Next year it will revert back to Father's
Day weekend.
