Well summer seems to have arrived in full force, but I hope someone knows
a rain dance or has connections. The whole valley could sure use
some moisture.
The pond is being filled, so enjoy the scenic view while it lasts.
Hopefully the geese will notice the water and stop over. I know we have some avid bird watchers at the course.
The bluebirds are busy building their nests and can be seen working away.
Robins seem to be busy in their worm hunting. The deer are enjoying the green grass
and I would expect to see some fawns in a couple of weeks.
The Jawbone Cemetery is on the mend with the two work nights last
week, however, we could still use some help to get it all repaired. It would be great to
have this done by Memorial Day, but we need more HELP!!! We have called for a WORKDAY,
this Saturday, May 19th, starting at 9AM. Come up and give us a hand, we
also have a list of projects. Anyone who stores a cart at the Jawbone is asked to
come and help sweep out your location. It is in desperate need of a good spring cleaning.
Activity at the course this past weekend had the Class "C" coaches
getting together for a game of golf and good company. One of the best days we have had in
a while!
The Bud Lite Tournament is scheduled for June 16th. Please call and
reserve your cart and register your team. This tournament always fills up fast and it is limited.
MONDAY MANIA has hit the course and anyone wishing to golf for 1/2
price is invited to come up on any Monday and for $7 you could play a round of 9 holes!! This
season special is going on now, but excludes holidays. If you haven't golfed for a while,
would like to learn, or are on a fixed income, here is a special that you won't see!!! I went
back in the history of JCCC and could not find any lower rates than this 2012 special. Come on up and see
what you are missing!! This is a prime opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and get into the game, it can be addicting.
