The "lazy days" of summer are upon us. The course is in great shape and you should come
on up and enjoy it. Our resident deer and rabbits seem to be enjoying the lush green course.
Men's League completed their schedule on July 30th and Garneill Seed and Bear Luv'n Honey have won
the second half of the season. Garneill Seed will play Ticketprinting.com and The Red Bulls will
square off against Bear Luv'n Honey in the semi-finals.
On July 30th the JCCC Ladies held a "pie auction" as a fundraiser for the pump house.
There were some delicious pies and a lot of laughter and fun with this silent auction. I hope
Gordon Nash enjoyed his peach pie as he had to work pretty hard to get it!!
BAG RAID!!! The couples night on July 31st rounded out the month with a scramble format and bag
raid. Winning couple on each hole got to take clubs from the opposing couple by the number of
strokes they were beaten by. Just how many clubs does it take to golf?? Well, a few of us lost 11
clubs, (we won't mention names) and the winners, Tom and Marlene Robertson only lost 2 clubs.
Sounds like the more clubs you have the easier it is!!
This week, August 8th, we will be hosting the Sorensen Tournament. This is a 4 person scramble and
the weather forecast looks pretty good for Saturday.
Couple's Night will take a new look and meet up on Tuesday, Aug. 11th and the 18th. We always come
up with new and unique ways to have fun. Join us 5PM for snacks and we will hit the course at
6PM.
We will be looking to crown new club champions on August 22nd. Senior Men, Senior Women, Men and
Women and re-newed this year is Junior Champion. Sign up at the club house if would like to try
and earn the bragging rights to this event!!
Stop by and see us or come up in the evening and check out the deer, it likes we have a doe with
3 little ones!
