Whew, it has been a busy 1st half of July. The 2nd Annual Alumni Tourney was held on July 3rd. Had
a fantastic turn out with 16 teams hitting the course for a picture perfect outing! Bragging rights
for the ensuing year belong to the team consisting of: Rich Eggebaken, Gordon Nash, Loren Haarr,
and Dane Elwood!!!
The Fireman's Bash on July 17th was another successful fundraiser for the "New Firehall" and reports
have it that it was a crazy night of laughter and fun with 14 teams showing their unusual skills.
First place went to Cole Freeser, Zach Tomlinson, Eric Sell and Chris Anderson with a 36. 2nd place
went to Jack Thompson, Dean Thompson, Jay Ward and Todd Hasbrook posting a 37.
July 18th had the Annual Glow Ball Tourney with 16 teams up to the challenge of Day verses Night
gaming!!! Modified Stableford scoring was used to add a twist to the game. This game proved you
could even lose points and the "bogey man" was gaining points in the dark and probably won!!! Coming
in 1st was the team of Spencer Snelling and Shawn Schuchard, 2nd Place went to Dallas Fischer and
Travis Holzer. There were some unique swimming experiences in the pond, but it is a proven fact that
the glow balls float!!
A Fundraiser for the Pump House is gearing up. The first night is a "PIE AUCTION" and is scheduled
for July 30th, starting at 5PM at the Club House. You may not golf, but there promises to be some
"mouthwatering" yummies available via silent auction. Stop in and drool over these goodies and maybe
you'll get one to take home and enjoy!!!
As you may or may not know, we lost another pump on our irrigation system. We are installing a new
pump starter, updating the wiring and re-building the pump house. We received "Windfarm Impact
Monies" to the tune of $4500, but that is only half of what we need.
July 31st will be our 1st Couple's Night, come see what we have in store. It will surprise you!!
Sign up at 5:15 PM, bring along your sense of humor and be prepared to laugh a lot!! Throw in a
snack to share and we'll hit the course at 6 PM. Proceeds from this fun night will also go towards
the pump house project.
If you can't join in on the fun, stop up, the course is in great shape! If you don't golf and need
to wind down, come take in the view, it is spectacular. The evenings have been beautiful, the deer
are still here and enjoying the green lush grass. See you at JCCC!!!
