Spring has sprung and several of our locals are hitting the Jawbone to get their game back, after a long
winter break.
April 24th is our KICK-OFF Weekend!! JCCC will be hosting the Harlowton/JG High School golf
tournament with 98 participants scheduled to compete. Needless to say, the course will be closed
to the public for this event. Take a drive up and check out the future competition of the sport.
Our Annual Fundraiser dinner is that evening at the Youth Center. Todd King will be preparing a
super prime rib dinner with all the fixings. All you ticket holders be prepared, maybe this will
be your "lucky" night!!! There are only 7 tickets left for this event, if we missed you, please
contact Harold Bornong to get one of the remaining tickets.
Tournaments are being scheduled for the summer. The Wheatland Co. Stockgrowers will start the
season on June 5th. All the proceeds from this tournament help fund their scholarship that they
award to a graduating Senior.
The Wind Festival is jump starting their festival with a tournament on June 12th.
Of course, the 3rd Annual Alumni Tournament is set for July 3rd. This will be
in the morning and
finished by parade and rodeo time.
The course seems to be in fairly good shape. Of course we do have some improvements going on.
Steps are being placed on the 2nd and 7th tee boxes. Some new trees and grasses are being planted.
The pump house is getting that new pump start installed, since the early winter slowed this project
up. The Clubhouse will be sporting 3 new insulated windows and when the weather looks fairly
stable, it will have a paint job to spruce it up.
The Club House is scheduled to open up around May 15th, however, if you have not paid your dues you
are delinquent!! Please pay your membership fees before you golf or if you are not a member,
green fees are applicable.
Stop up and check us out!! THINK SPRING, GREEN GRASS and RAIN!!!!
